This afternoon, after the debacle with the SCPO, I got a phone call from a prior Marine who wanted me to know that I saved her life, by counseling her when she was at her lowest.
She
thanked me for my advice, and how it changed everything. She is out of the
Corps now, but still serving in a different capacity, and wanted my advice.
That
conversation definitely balanced my day.
