One of the hardest things to do, is decide to send someone home from deployment. But recently, we did just that. I met with a sailor whose comments flirted with being a suicidal ideation. After meeting with him, and conferring with Medical, we recommended to the leadership to send him home. Though he was not suicidal at that time, he was trending in that direction. I am grateful for the triad for following our advisement, so we can care for this sailor before the situation got worse.
